Launch of the "Tomo no Ura Adventure Cruise" Project

The Hiroshima Prefecture Eastern Tourism Promotion Council (Chairman: Keisuke Hata), Tomo Skole Corporation (Headquarters: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Tatsuhiro Murakami), JTB Corporation (Fukuyama Branch; Branch Manager: Keisuke Hata), Tomo no Ura Fisheries Cooperative (Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; Representative Director: Kozo Hada), and ANxtend Corporation (Headquarters: Minato Ward, Tokyo; President: Tatsuya Abe) will launch an experiential tourism product aimed at expanding passenger traffic to the eastern area of Hiroshima Prefecture and extending stay duration through activities, available online from February 20, 2026 (for use from March 20, 2026).

1. Background and Purpose of the Project

Tomo Town in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, is one of the scenic spots representing the Seto Inland Sea, designated as Japan's first national park, and is the only city in Japan to receive three designations: a Japanese Heritage site and an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. With the opening of the Tomo Future Tunnel in March 2025, access from various areas will improve, and a diverse range of tourists, including foreign visitors to Japan, is expected. This project aims to connect the popular tourist destination of Onomichi with Tomo via maritime routes, allowing visitors to enjoy stays at hot springs in Tomo and the beauty of the Seto Inland Sea's islands by high-speed boat, maximizing the appeal of Tomo as a city thriving by the sea, known for its anime and as a sacred place for warriors, enhancing the quality of the tourism experience and extending stay duration, thereby aiming for an increase in the related population and regional revitalization.

2. Roles of Co-Creating Companies and Organizations

・Hiroshima Prefecture Eastern Tourism Promotion Council: Coordination among local stakeholders
